3d 2n Richelieu Rock liveaboard

South Siam 3 dive masters

South Siam 3 DM’s

South Siam III is a Richelieu Rock liveaboard that offers divers the flexibility that other boats can’t match. The boat stays out at the islands all season (mid Oct to early May) and divers are transferred from the mainland to the liveaboard five times per week by speedboat.

South Siam 3 is an ideal for short liveaboard trips of one or two nights. If you can schedule your diving for Wed-Fri or Sun-Tue you can dive at Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai as well as the Similan Islands in just 3 days and 2 nights.

The crew are young and fun. The food on board, served buffet style, is very tasty and there’s lots of it.

Unlike other liveaboards South Siam also takes day trip divers. (Day divers can join at the Similan and Koh Bon but not at Richelieu Rock). This can make the boat busy during the day but the program is efficiently run and the day trippers have all departed by 3 pm.

Peak season holidays like Christmas, New Year and Chinese New year are busiest (you need to book early for these dates). Because of all the comings and goings and the moving between islands there are fewer beach excursions on a South Siam liveaboard than on other boats.

Just to give a short feedback. The organisation was perfect, everything went smoothly.

great trip and possibly the mostly slickly organised and well thought out thing we've come across in Thailand. All the crew were helpful, food was good and plentiful, and a nice variety in dives. Still amazed we fitted 7 dives in the two days.

I had a good trip thanks. The diving was amazing! The boat was great and most of the crew were fun and friendly. Of course it is peak season and the boat was crowded when the day-divers arrived. I did originally find the whole thing a little bit regimented, being herded like cattle sometimes, which is in contrast to other diving trips where it is more relaxed and personal, but I understand that it is peak season and it has to be a little bit regimented. Other than that I liked the boat, it had everything I wanted and I have to say the food was awesome. Cheers

The crew on the boat was very nice. They took good care of the guests and the food was excellent. What really impressed me was the captain's control of this relatively big boat. After we surfaced he brought the boat so close and in so good position that hardly no surface swimming was necessary. I am glad I made the trip as I felt it was worth it. Thank you for your help prior to the trip and for your mail to see if everything was ok.
