This tour is actually called “Best Sea Canoe 4 U.” All the tours to Phang Nga Bay are called sea canoe tours but really they use kayaks, not canoes. This is one of the better tours, it doesn’t squeeze too many people on the boat and gets a mix of nationalities on board, not just big groups from one nation. The boat also has excellent local staff who chat and joke around with their guests all day long. They are a pleasure to be with and really make the tour. They are very inclusive so if you are travelling solo you won’t feel left out on this tour.

The itinerary sees the boat cruise from Klong Kien pier in Phang Nga to Panak Island and Hong Island for some guided kayaking and cave exploration, both with kayaks and on foot. After lunch on the boat there is time for self kayaking in front of the monkey (macaque) beach and there is also a 45 minute stop at Koh Ping to photograph James Bond Island (Koh Tapu). Depending on the tides the itinerary may be reversed because there are passages that the boat can’t navigate at low tide and caves that the kayaks can’t enter at high tide. There are plenty of opportunities to swim throughout the day and the boat makes a great platform for jumping off.

The maximum number of guests on the boat is 45, they average about 30 guests per day. Book in high season and you can expect the boat to be full, in low season there will be fewer guests. The boat is big enough that it doesn’t feel crowded and the pace of the tour is relaxed. Be aware that some tour boats to Phang Nga bay cram many more people than this on their boats.

These Phang Nga bay tours run all year round, they are a good option for a boat tour in the low season as the sea is always flat in the bay. Phang Nga bay should be one everyone’s to do list whether you are staying in Phuket, Khao Lak or Krabi, it really is very beautiful and very peaceful.

 

Kayak 4 U Itinerary

0715-0830 hrs: Pick up from your hotel and transfer by AC minivan to Klong Khian pier in Phang Nga province.

0930 hrs: Departure on a beautiful scenic cruise into Phang Nga bay. You guide will give a briefing of the day’s activities.

0930-1600 hrs:
• Explore the caves at Panak Island by kayak.
• Explore Hong Island by kayak.
• A tasty Thai buffet lunch on board (Halal friendly).
• Visit at James Bond island by long-tail boat.
• Swimming and relaxing on the beach.

1600 hrs: Back to Klong Khian pier and transfer to your hotel by air-con minivan.
