Discover SCUBA Diving
An introduction to SCUBA diving. Not a certification course, just a lot of fun with an experienced instructor guiding you through the underwater world. Discover SCUBA Diving (DSD) can be done from Phuket on a day trip out on the dive boat with two or three dives at an offshore island like Racha Yai or Racha Noi.

SCUBA Diver
The SCUBA Diver certification is basically half of the Open Water Diver Course. It qualifies you to dive with a guide to a maximum depth of 12 metres. You can upgrade the SCUBA Diver cert to the full Open Water certification at a later date. This is a good option for people with limited time available to train. The SCUBA diver certification takes 2 days. Day 1 is class and pool, day 2 involves two ocean dives.

Open Water Diver
The most popular learn to dive course.  It’s a 3 or 4 day certification course after which you will qualified to dive independently to 18 metres depth. The course includes some theory, some pool sessions and four dives in open water. Dives are normally conducted at Racha Yai Island in clear water surrounded by fish.

 

Advanced Diver
Continuing education course. Improve your diving skills and gain new experiences. The Advanced course includes 5 adventure dives although depending on the dive sites visited you may get a free extra boat dive. The course includes a deep dive and a navigation dive as standard. Then you can choose 3 elective dives from a list that includes, wreck diving, night diving, underwater photography, peak performance buoyancy and more.

Dives can be at Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai, King Cruiser, Racha Noi/Yai or Phi Phi Island. The advanced course can also be completed on a liveaboard as the dives can be easily integrated into the itinerary.

The advanced course is increasingly being required as the minimum certification level for joining a dive boat here and in other parts of the world.

Speciality courses
A huge list of niche diving courses. The most popular and useful specialties are Digital Underwater Photographer and Enriched Air Nitrox. Other specialties include Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Underwater Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Drift Diver.
