Phuket diving weather

August weather

August 6, 2015/in Weather/by Thailand Liveaboards

Phuket diving weather in August

August weather in Phuket is similar to June and July. Rain is possible at any time but most likely is sunny days with evening downpours. Low pressure patterns usually pass within 2 or 3 days.

Temperatures are pleasantly cool with a nice breeze coming from the west. Of course it is possible to have a week of terrible weather with wind, waves and rain every day.

It’s a risk that you take for coming in the Phuket low season. The pay off is that Phuket hotels are cheap and the dive sites are much less crowded. If the weather is ok then Phuket diving in August can be better than in the high season.

Average high: 30ºC/86ºF
Average low: 26ºC/78ºF
Average rainfall: 261mm/10.3″
