MV SaiMai promo video

November 1, 2011/in Review/by Thailand Liveaboards

Update 2015: Saimai is no longer running as a dive charter liveaboard

Here is a short promo video for the MV SaiMai taken last week on a trip to Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, Koh Haa and Phi Phi. The diver is me! The video was shot by Randy Travis, a pro underwater videographer in Phuket.

I was very impressed by the comfort on board Saimai. It really makes a difference being on a small boat with just a few other guests. No crowded dive deck, no hurry, just relaxing cruising and diving. Andreas is an excellent cruise leader and underwater guide who knows exactly when and where to drop in at each dive site. He found us loads of cool stuff underwater including seahorses and ornate ghost pipefish.

The conditions for diving were excellent, if anything they were too good. I would’ve liked more current at Hin Daeng to attract the mantas but that wasn’t to be. Koh Haa diving was superb.
