Racha Yai snorkeling day trip

Small groups snorkeling day trip to Racha Yai

racha yai snorkelingWant a great day out snorkeling close to Phuket but without the crowds? We have the perfect boat. Our Racha Yai day trip by speedboat from Phuket takes just 12 guests and is available for private island hopping to the Racha Islands.

If you want a cheaper tour ask us about our standard Racha Yai day trip that takes 30-50 guests, it’s a bargain at 2,100 baht per person. But if you want a more personalized experience and don’t mind paying a bit more for the privilege then our small group tour is for you. We think you’ll be happy that you spent the extra to be treated like a VIP for the day.

Racha Yai small group day trip itinerary:

9.30-10.30 hrs: Pick up from your hotel with our air con minibus and transfer to the speedboat in Chalong.

11.00 hrs: Depart Chalong Bay to Racha Yai Island. We depart later from the other tour speedboats so you can enjoy your breakfast in your resort and we avoid the crowds at Chalong and at Racha Yai. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Racha Island. Once there the guide selects a bay for snorkeling. Your guide will choose the best location on the day depending on weather conditions and where other boats are moored.

snorkeling racha islands13.00 hrs: Lunch is served on the island at a small resort, it’s a set menu. We stay on the island for two and a half hours, we will not rush you. You have time to digest your lunch, explore the island and swim from the beach.
15.30-16.30 hrs: At around 3.30pm we get back on the speedboat and go for an afternoon snorkeling session. The great thing about this afternoon session is that all the other boats have left by now and we have the reefs to ourselves.

16.30-17.30 hrs: On the ride back from Racha to Chalong Bay we take the scenic route through Koh Ae and Koh Lon. From Chalong bay we transfer you back to your hotel.

Our speedboat is 9m long and 2.8m wide with twin 140hp Yamaha outboards. It has life jackets and life rings on board plus VHF radio and a first aid kit. There is also a toilet and a fresh water hose to rinse with after swimming.

Most importantly the boat has a good stereo and an ice box to keep your drinks cold. We provide drinking water and soft drinks, your are welcome to bring your own beers on board.
