The Junk Liveaboard.

The Junk has been one of our favourite Similan Islands liveaboards for years. For divers who appreciate great diving with great dive guides on a beautiful boat it’s hard to pick a better boat than the Junk (full name June Hong Chian Lee).

The Junk runs 4 or 6 night trips to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock from the start of November until late April.

The Junk is 30m long and 8.5m wide with a cruising speed of 8 knots. She sleeps a maximum of 18 divers in comfortable en-suite cabins. The Junk has an interesting history which includes playing a part in a few Hollywood movies. You can feel her soul when you are on board, this boat is alive. The Junk is renowned for having the best dive crew who are passionate and very knowledgeable about the local marine life. A trip on the Junk is like a mini masters degree in marine biology.
