Barbados Diving

Land Temperature:
Dry winter season from November to May with average temperatures of 24°C.

May to October is rainy season with more humid temperatures around 29°C

Water Temperature:
25-29°C

When to go:
December to May is the dry season. Mid December to April is busiest and most expensive.

September and October are the riskiest hurricane season months.

Wetsuit required:
3mm is plenty for most people. Many divers just wear a swim suit or lycra rash vest.

Visibility:
5-40m

Diving types:
Fringing reefs, barrier reefs and world class wrecks.

Experience Level:
Beginner to Experienced

Marine life:
Coral reef, reef fish, turtles, moray eels, barracuda, stingrays, eagle rays, reef sharks.

After diving:
A day at the races at Garrison Savannah. Watch a cricket or polo game. Play a round of golf on a world class course. Do a cultural tour or visit Harrison’s Cave. Sail, kayak, kitesurf, fish or do and number of other watersports. Tour the Banks brewery.
