Phuket boat charter for dive groups

Depending on the size of your dive group you can charter either a speedboat, a day trip dive boat or a liveaboard.

A speedboat can get a small group of 4 or 5 divers plus guide quickly to local Phuket dive sites. Speedboats do not carry a compressor so must carry enough tanks for each dive. A speedboat charter will work out more expensive than a regular join in tour, the advantage is that you’ll be diving in a small group and can set your own itinerary.

For a group of up to 40 divers a day trip dive boat can be chartered for your day. But you must book early. A charter will be much cheaper for a big group. Hotel transfers, dive guides, equipment rental, nitrox and lunch are all included.

 

For overnight tours to the Similan and Surin Islands you can charter a liveaboard. You will need to book several months in advance. Liveaboard capacity is from 10-28 divers. Typically a charter gives you two free spaces on the boat for your group.
