3 days 2 nights: Khao Sok Mountain bike tour
Khao Sok National Park and Cheow Lan lake adventure
Day 1: Hotel pick up from Phuket or Khao Lak hotels and transfer 15km with the support vehicle to the start of our riding. On the way we pass the Police Patrol boat washed ashore during the 2004 tsunami. The morning is pretty flat riding with some on road and some off road trails through rubber plantations. Lunch is in the historic town of Takua Pa. There are some hills in Khao Sok National Park to tackle in the afternoon on off road trails, finishing with a refreshing dip in the river. Overnight at Jungle Cliff and River Resort.
Day 2: On road cycling today on the route to Cheow Lan Lake. On the way we will stop at a Buddhist temple to make merit. After a 40km morning cycle we are ready for a delicious Thai lunch at Baan Takhun. After lunch it’s a further 12km to Rajjaphapa Dam and Cheow Lan Lake where we jump on a long tail boat to take us to our accommodation for the night, a floating raft house. Here you can relax or swim or kayak. There is a sunset boat trip available for those who want to join.
Day 3: We usually rise early to see the mist in the mountains and listen to the gibbons calling each other. There is no biking today. After breakfast we take a long tail tour on the lake and do some trekking to visit a cave. We return to the raft house for lunch and a swim then transfer back to your accommodation in the afternoon.
