Manta rays at Koh Tachai, Similan Islands

Manta rays were almost a permanent fixture at Koh Tachai (and Koh Bon) last season. For many divers Koh Tachai is the best dive site in Thailand. The best way to go there is by liveaboard so you can dive the plateau early in the morning and late in the evening when the mantas are more prevalent.

Diving at Koh Tachai can be challenging because of the depth and the because of the strong currents. You should be advanced or deep diver certified to dive at Koh Tachai.
